So You Still Don't Get How Dems Are Enablers and How The Biden And Democrats Were The Equivalent Of The SPD and Weimar Republic‽
So you think the Democrats are saviors and not enablers? You think your voting and support for them over the PSL, Green, and Libertarian parties was pragmatism and not defeatism because your fulfillment of a self-fulfilling prophecy against these three parties, whose only way to lose was to not get enough votes because they were mathematically in the electoral vote count at the start of voting in 2024, wasn't ensuring evil won? And you want to know how the party you support is moderate fascist? Let's look at recent foreign policy history under the Democrats before Trump was sworn in.
From September 26, 2022 through January 20, 2025, the Biden administration conducted and enabled multiple acts that constitute crimes against humanity under international law. The US destroyed the Nord Stream pipeline in September 2022 according to investigative journalist Seymour Hersh, an act of infrastructure terrorism against European allies designed to force dependence on American LNG and prevent German-Russian energy cooperation. The administration conducted unconstitutional military strikes in Syria, Iraq, and Yemen without congressional authorization throughout 2023 and 2024, maintaining illegal occupation of Syrian territory while bombing sovereign nations.
Biden provided unwavering military, financial, and diplomatic support to Israel's genocide in Gaza from October 2023 onward, supplying weapons used to systematically destroy Palestinian population through mass killing, deliberate starvation, destruction of healthcare infrastructure, and forced displacement that meets the Merriam-Webster definition of genocide as the deliberate and systematic destruction of a racial, political, or cultural group. Despite vetoing multiple UN Security Council ceasefire resolutions, Biden faced no accountability as the international community remained unable to enforce consequences against American hegemonic power.
Concurrently, the administration maintained sanctions regimes constituting economic warfare against Cuba, Venezuela, Iran, Syria, and other nations, tolerated UAE support for genocidal RSF forces in Sudan, and continued neo-colonial extraction of cobalt through child labor in Congo to fuel Western green energy transitions. These coordinated actions served to maintain dollar hegemony, enforce vassal state compliance particularly among European allies, protect Israeli settler-colonial interests, and prevent multipolar alternatives from challenging US imperial dominance, ultimately pushing Russia, China, Iran, and North Korea into defensive alliance structures that the US then characterized as aggression to justify further militarization.
This normalization of lawless imperial behavior under Biden established the precedent and infrastructure that enabled Trump's actions upon taking office January 20, 2025. Trump immediately escalated by declaring national emergencies to justify mass deportations, threatening to annex Greenland and Panama Canal, imposing sweeping tariffs as economic weapons, and signaling even more aggressive unilateral action globally. The international community's failure to hold Biden accountable for pipeline sabotage, genocide support, and unconstitutional wars demonstrated that American presidents operate above international law, emboldening Trump to pursue openly imperial policies without fear of meaningful consequences. Biden's term functioned as a test run proving the imperial core could commit atrocities, violate sovereignty, and ignore international institutions with impunity, thereby creating the conditions where Trump's authoritarian nationalism faces no structural barriers from a toothless global order that already proved itself incapable of restraining American power.
Blue exceptionalism and red nationalism both lead to the same consequences; both Blue-MAGA and Red-MAGA are cults of the fascist American corporate uniparty. Both are MAGA, regardless if they say "Make America Great Again" or "What can be, unburdened by what has been"; both talk about undoing the present by returning to the past, returning to America's past policies, laws, and tactics, for America's future. And what did dems tell the left when the left tried pressuring them in 2024: "You know what? If you want Donald Trump to win, then say that. Otherwise, I'm speaking" and "Oh, you guys are at the wrong rally. I think you meant to go to the smaller one down the street"; the Democrats did feel pressured from the left, they felt haughty towards the left. Doesn't matter if they're doing it incrementally or expediently. It's the same tyrannical right-wing political theater, all 152 million combined voters of the Democrats and Republicans are complicit, indoctrinated or not. Y'all voted to cross a moral redline, to vote for a party that either was bankrolling a genocide or who wanted to, and both who were trying to start a world war; people maybe right that complicit isn't the right term, maybe I should use guilty.
