Being Revolutionary Is Not A Checklist Of Lifestyle Purity.

The average person works, commutes, and sleeps a total of 17 to 18 hours daily. The remaining 6 to 7 hours are typically not in one block, but split into two: before and after work. Personal hygiene and food consumption take up at least 2 hours a day combined on average. Housework takes up typically an hour a day on average. Now, on a work day, people have to try to cram: working out, reading theory, performing mutual aid, paying bills and running errands, staying updated on local and world news, and finding time to decompress mentally with hobbies or whatever so they don't have a breakdown, all in the remaining 3 to 4 hours daily.

It's anti-working-class to ignore the material conditions workers live under and expect people to get all that unpaid required domestic labor done in 3 to 4 hours while trying to add in mandatory requirements to be a communist or leftist. It's anti-mental-health to think everyone's mind cognitively works the same and can handle and process living a life like that. People should do their best to stay healthy, but that ability differs by budget, responsibilities, assistance level, and both mental and physical health.

So worried about others telling people they don't have to exercise and fit into capitalist-class beauty and fitness standards, chasing men and women to the manosphere, maga communism, and or libertarian right, that they're ignoring: calling wage-slaves undisciplined is going to chase people away from the movement to stay on the couch, viewing both as oppressors who don't give a fuck about the struggles of the wage-slave; and that's an honest assessment of our material reality, although it leaves out the number who are working two or more jobs and not only have less time on a daily work day but don't even get a day off.

We're supposed to meet people where they're at and assist them, so that they can not only reach the same level playing field as everyone else but also evolve to all that they can be or did you forget that‽ A vanguard investigates, uses dialectical analysis, and suggests from where people actually stand; it never demands from where it wishes they stood, to mandate is to forget the very material conditions we claim to fight for. For a vanguard's instructions or demands must be feasible within the actual time-budget, not stacked on top of it. And a worker seeking to replace those at the top without making any other chaneges, is a class traitor.

Stop acting like a haughty embourgeoised elitist, assist and lead us wage-slaves and stop acting like our capitalist wage-masters and feudal overlords because it's hard to tell some of your from the social and moderate fascists in the mainstream establishment that enable and sustain the bourgeoisie shackles and chains that keep us locked on the plantation. And a slave is a slave before anyone gets all haughty and tries strawman this by saying there's a difference between wage, prison, and chattel slavery, being owned by a company and being owned by the state isn't much different the owners just change and tweak their actions but even the state traffics and sells; if you're a vanguardist, live up to our principles and values instead of imposing petty bourgeoisie or lumpenproletariat ones.

Be the management of the workers and guide them by asking and instructing them to make decisions that might make them uncomfortable, instead of creating a new resistance or opposition of the workers by making demands and barking out orders to them, and treating workers like they're a class below you. Cadre discipline was never meant to be imposed on the working masses, class consciousness cannot be beat into wage slaves for the unfreedom is common, not the mechanism.

A communist is defined by their relationship to class and their goal, not by lifestyle, output, or theory quota. Holding someone to that floor, do you reject exploitation, seek an equitable-egalitarian society, and refuse to seek capitalist power for yourself, is not purity testing, it's the basic coherence check on the word itself. Purity testing only starts above that floor, when people get excluded or shamed over secondary things like how much they've read, how they spend their scarce time, or what they consume, standards that ignore the same material conditions the movement claims to fight for. So the minimal standard is holding the cadre and self proclaimed communists to a class position and stated goal, not a checklist of lifestyle purity.
