Throwing kids in cages

People living in dumpsters

Worried about Trumpsters

Right wing Authoritarianism

Ignored by the masses

Sitting on our asses

Creatures dying

Leaders lying

Asking for reciprocation

Extortion if you will

Secret service billed

President's coffers filled

News mieading

Lost is the overseeing

Greed and hate

All but sealed our fate

Lack of compassion

Entitled with no ration

Regression humor

Caused a progressive tumor

Hate for profit

Prejudice for power

As they saw fit 

Citizens run and cower

Right and wrong have no middle ground

Cannot always compromise

Cannot always give in

To do so is to drown

We must stand our ground

Four score years tipped the scale 

We either go all in or we bail

Our consequences are death or jail

We're supposed to evolve for the next generation

Instead we regressed 

against the greater good

The old won't let go

Enslaved are the youth

There is no quid pro quo

We cannot afford to deal

Has turned into an agonizing scream

Lennon's "Imagine" was our voice

Now it's considered a treasonous choice

Churches used to lead sanctuaries cities

Now they shout send them back, without pity.

"We shall overcome" but first

We must get over this dumb

No more fear

Either the beginning or the end is near
