Allies Or Not, Depends On One's Vision

If believing in the following statements to come makes me or us not an ally, not a comrade, so be it. Better to know now who stands with humanity and who seeks to dominate and exploit humanity, standing apart from us, from the defenders of the earth and its inhabitants, driven by their own imperialistic, segregational chauvinism and colonizing supremacistic egoism.

"We don't inherit the earth from our ancestors, we borrow it from our children."

"Humans merely share the earth. We can only protect the land, not own it."

"The earth is the mother of all people, and all people should have equal rights upon it."

"We are all indigenous people on this planet, and we have to reorganize to get along."

"It is a sign of the union of all people, like one big family. The unity of all humanity, many tribes and peoples, is essential."

"Peace will come to the hearts of men when they realize their oneness with the Universe. It is everywhere."

But I guess these people: Chief Seattle, Chief Joseph of the Nez Perce, Rebecca Adamson, and Black Elk are also not comrades because these are their words. Or they had implied exceptions, that people were supposed to read between the lines and see, instead of taking their words at face value. Sitting Bull, Serena Mills, Q'orianka Kilcher, the list goes on of those being ignored.

"The warrior, for us, is one who sacrifices himself for the good of others. His task is to take care of the elderly, the defenseless, those who cannot provide for themselves, and above all, the children, the future of humanity." - Sitting Bull

"We can effect real change by pushing ourselves to engage in conversations with each other. That's the goal for all of us, as professionals and community members, especially if we are in positions of power to create, change, and understanding. Because we are guests on this land - nobody owns it." - Serena Mills

And like Q'orianka Kilcher, I too, "hope to contribute to a global warming of hearts and a climate change in human consciousness."

If delivering this message makes me no longer a comrade, so be it. I am advocating for the oneness of humanity, and I, we, will not be shamed for it; like the roots beneath the soil to the tips of the branches of a tree, we are one, and one are we. It's time to reclaim control, freedom, and humanity's shared stewardship of the earth, united in sovereignty, free from imperialistic colonizing mindsets.
