How The Personality Triads Impacts Politics.

I've known about the political compass for a while now, where it adds an authoritarian-anti-authoritarian axis. After seeing maps with 4 to 32 quadrants, I came up with my own 8-quadrant compass for how I see things. There is no true center. On the left, there are three quadrants: Altruistic, Communalistic, and Volunteeristic. On the right, there are also three quadrants: Megalomaniac, Social-Darwinistic, and Sociopathic. Separating the left and right on the authoritarian side is Etatistic, and on the anti-authoritarian side, across from that, is Egoistic. I recently learned about the two triads of personality, and things make much more sense.

The light triad is three groups of personalities: Empathic/Sympathetic, Altruistic/Selfless, and Humane/Benign. Kantianism, Humanism, and Humanitarianism are also ideological personality traits associated with the light triad. Marx & Engels called communism humanism but I am convinced it's a mix of all three.

Kantianism (Noun): A philosophical approach and way of life emphasizing reason, ethics, and individual autonomy, especially a doctrine that prioritizes the inherent dignity and worth of every person, and stresses the importance of moral principles, free will, and personal responsibility, as opposed to determinism and moral relativism.

Humanism (Noun): A form of collectivism and way of life centered on human interests or values, especially a philosophy that usually rejects supernaturalism and stresses an individual's dignity and worth and capacity for self-realization through reason, logic, and naturalism, as opposed to religious dogma and supernaturalism.

Humanitarianism (Noun): A moral philosophy and way of life focused on alleviating suffering and promoting the well-being and welfare of all humans, especially a doctrine that emphasizes empathy, compassion, and selfless acts to benefit others, and stresses the importance of social justice, human rights, and global citizenship, as opposed to indifference, injustice, and exploitation.

These are the antithesis of the Dark Triad which is also comprised of three personality groups: Machiavellianism/Megalomania, Narcissism/Predatory Narcissism, and Psychopathy/Sociopathy. Kratocracy, Social-Darwin, and Avaritionism are also ideological personality traits associated with the dark triad. Which is funny because they're all right wing.

Kratocracy (Noun): A political ideology and social system where power and authority are held by those who possess the most strength, wealth, or influence, often prioritizing might over right, and justifying inequality and exploitation as natural or desirable.

Social-Darwinism (Noun): A philosophical and social ideology that applies the concept of "survival of the fittest" to human society, asserting that competition and struggle are essential for progress, and that the strong and adaptable will naturally dominate the weak and vulnerable.

Avaritionism (Noun): A radical and extreme ideology that combines elements of egoism and social Darwinism, advocating for complete individual freedom and the pursuit of self-interest without regard for others, leading to a perceived "natural selection" where the strongest and most cunning individuals rise to power, while the weak are exploited or eliminated.

Those authoritarians in-between the right and left authoritarian, just want rule and order. They don't think one person should have it and they don't think the people themselves should be uncharged either. They seek full control for the state.

And of course there's the egoistic in-between the anti-authoritarian left and right who seek pure anarchy with with some morals but without a sense of social responsibility.

And then there's the anarchists who while sharing some light triad traits are always bitching about needing autonomy, individualism, and volunteerism.

Volunteerism: A system where individuals generously offer their time and energy, often to the benefit of others, but usually masking a power imbalance that exploits the volunteer's labor.

Autonomy: The freedom to make choices and act on them, but possibly without regard for the consequences or impact on others, prioritizing personal desire above collective well-being.

Individualism: A focus on personal independence and self-reliance, but often at the expense of community and social responsibility, where one's own interests are prioritized above the needs and well-being of others.

When one looks at what they're actually bitching about, one can see why they're in so much of a hurry to go stateless and why anarchist ideologies on the left say we don't need a system for rules and order or anyone to enforce the new social views.

The two triads were interesting to learn about. The only thing they did was strength my convictions on the right-wing being mentally ill and the anti-authoritarian left being exploitative. One thing is for certain, that any individualist ideology from the light triad mentalities. Hell, there's no way anyone's gonna convince me that individualism is part of the light triad.
